Harris County wanted suspect dead
The incident began shortly after 7 a.m. in the 159000 block of Archduke Drive near East Hardy Road. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said an out-of-county agency requested Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies after locating the wanted suspect in the area.

As deputies were heading to the location, the man reportedly suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Deputies and EMS personnel arrived and provided life-saving measures, but the man was later pronounced dead, the sheriff’s office said.
SkyEye13 footage showed several patrol vehicles and officers around a pickup truck at a small salvage yard.
Separate Search for Wanted Suspect
Harris County deputies were also working on a separate case involving a wanted suspect who allegedly shot a police officer and took a patrol car overnight.
Deputies were searching for that man when the Archduke Drive incident happened nearby. The sheriff’s office said the two cases were separate, although they occurred in the same general area.
Officials have not provided details about the identity of the suspect who died or what he was wanted for.
