History of Dante Moore
Dante Moore has built his football career from a standout high school quarterback in Michigan into the starting quarterback for the Oregon Ducks. His path has included a strong high school run, a difficult freshman season at UCLA, a transfer to Oregon, and a major breakthrough as a starter in 2025.
Early Life
Dante Moore was born on May 24, 2005, in East Cleveland, Ohio. He later grew up in nearby Elyria before moving to Detroit, Michigan, where he attended Martin Luther King Jr. Senior High School.
Football quickly became an important part of Moore’s development. At Martin Luther King, he developed into a productive passer and helped the team win back-to-back Michigan Division III state championships.

College Career
UCLA Bruins
Dante Moore originally committed to Oregon but later changed his commitment to UCLA. He signed with the Bruins in December 2022 and enrolled early in January 2023.
He entered UCLA as a highly regarded quarterback and quickly became part of the competition for playing time. He saw action in the 2023 season opener against Coastal Carolina before making his first college start the following week against San Diego State.
That San Diego State game was an early highlight. Dante Moore completed 17 of 27 passes for 290 yards and three touchdowns in a 35–10 UCLA win.
