HISTORY OF NexBank
Nex has a long history in Texas. The bank started in 1934 as Terrell Federal Savings and Loan Association in Terrell, Texas. Over the years, the bank went through several name changes. In 1999, it became Heritage Savings Bank, and in 2002, it became Heritage Bank, SSB.
In 2004, the bank moved its main office from Terrell to Dallas. That move helped bring the bank closer to the growing Dallas business community. In 2005, the bank officially took the name Nex, SSB.
In 2020, Nex became a commercial bank and dropped “SSB” from its name. Since then, Nex has continued to grow its banking business in Texas and across the country. Today, the bank is based in Dallas and provides institutional, commercial, mortgage, and personal banking services.
