NexBank has a long history in Texas. The bank started in 1934 as Terrell Federal Savings and Loan Association in Terrell, Texas. Over the years, the bank went through several name changes. In 1999, it became Heritage Savings Bank, and in 2002, it became Heritage Bank, SSB.
In 2004, the bank moved its main office from Terrell to Dallas. That move helped bring the bank closer to the growing Dallas business community. In 2005, the bank officially took the name NexBank, SSB.
